Description
This year marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of Franz Peter Schubert in Lichtenthal near Vienna. The Schubert of 'Die Forelle', the 'Deutsche Tänze' and the Rosamunde music have long determined the image of the most gifted lyricist in Western music history. It is now becoming increasingly clear that Schubert was a bold, self-confident innovator and the literary qualities of his songs are emphasized.
