NON TELIS ( PRIMIS BELGI SEPTEMPLICIS ARMIS ) (it was not by arrows–which were the first weapons employed by the United Provinces–…), crowned lion rampant left, holding scales and bundle of arrows; 1671 below / SED CONSTANT LIBRA LIBERA REGNA PARI (…but rather it was through the scales of equality that nations preserve their freedom), capotain surrounded by seven crowned coats-of-arms of France, England, and the United Provinces. MI –; Eimer –; Dugnoille 4289. EF, choice red-brown surfaces.
